Expand your vision and look at the beautiful life

A critique once wrote a long letter pointing about all the shortcomings in a Saint and his followers. In the reply, the Saint wrote a short story, “A painter once drew a beautiful painting on a wall. Everyone who looked at the painting from a distance, got delighted and showered a few words of appreciation. At the same time, there were certain ants creeping on the wall trying to look for the holes. Unless the ant gets an expanded vision to look at the whole wall and appreciate the painting, it will continue to look for the holes.”

Beauty or ugliness, Good or bad -it's all in your outlook. You should continue to expand your vision unless everything and everyone in this world appears to you a unique and beautiful creation of the Supreme. You should continue to broaden your vision until you get the glimpse of Truth. Such a magnificent outlook, such a broad vision can only be attained when you begin to explore the inner world, the spiritual world in the company of those who have already attained it.

From ground level, the earth appears to be flat and mundane. As you rise up, your vision changes and same earth appears to be a beautiful artifact of blue rivers, greenery and colorful land. Once you reach to the level of space, you get the true and beautiful glimpse of spherical shape of earth.

A mystic wrote :
“nazar badli to nazare badle, khisti ne badla rukh to kinare badle”
Meaning: “With the change in vision, the view also got changed; when the boat changed the direction, even the destination also changed.”

Even in the physical world, those who have bigger vision, those who look at challenges of life from hundred feet often succeed. The president of the country certainly have bigger vision than an ordinary citizen. A CEO of the company certainly have bigger vision than an employee of certain department. As long as you continue to expand your vision, you continue to make progress in life.

Same is the case in the spiritual world : as long as you continue to expand your vision, you continue to make progress towards attainment of inner peace and true happiness. Once you begin to bind your vision within the scope of a religion or a doctrine, you limit yourself. Only those with an expanded vision come closer to getting the glimpse of Truth and the supreme blissfulness.
